Masala Khichadi

This is a very healthy khichadi. Source of lots vitamins and proteins. Very light on stomach .Easy to prepare and love to eat.
for 2 people.

Ingredients :

1 cup rice.
1/4 cup mung split green Dal.
1/4 cup toor Dal (pigeon peas).
1 table spoon chick peas (optional).
1 table spoon green peas.
1 tomato.
1 onion.
2-3 garlic clove.
2 green chili.
1/2 tea spoon of red chili , garam masala, turmeric powder , coriander powder .each.
fresh coconut.
small piece of ginger.
coriander leaves.
1 table spoon peanuts.
2 table spoon oil.
1 teaspoon cumin seeds mustard seeds.
salt as per taste.

Procedure:

1. Mix rice ,mung Dal, toor Dal ,chick peas, green peas and wash it well.
2.Prepare garlic - chili - ginger and coriander leaves and coconut paste.
3.In a cooker get the oil and heat it for sizzling.
4. Add cumin seeds and mustard seeds. Then add Garlic - chili - ginger paste into it. fry little.
5.Then add red chili , garam masala, turmeric powder , coriander powder and fry little.
6.Add chopped onion and fry till becomes light Brown. Add chopped tomato.
7.Add everything rice ,mung Dal, toor Dal ,chick peas, green peas . Add salt into it.
8.Add 3 and 1/2 cup of water. Let it cook for about 15-20 minutes into the cooker. Your khichadi is ready . Pour ghee on khichadi while serving .ENJOYSmile
