Shahi Curry

Shahi Curry

Large tomatoes 3 nos
Finelly chopped mixed 100 gms
boiled vegetables
(french beans, carrots,
cauliflower)
Oil 1 tbsp
Salt To taste

To be ground into a paste

Large onion 1 no
Coriander seeds 1 tbsp
Cumin seeds 1 tbsp
Poppy seeds 1 tbsp
Aniseed (saunf) 2 tsp
Ginger 1" piece
Green chillies 2 nos
cardamoms 3 nos
Cloves 3 nos
Cinnamon 1" piece

Method

1. Chop the tomatoes. Add 1 1/2 cups of water and cook until soft.
2. Pass through a sieve to make tomato puree.
3. Heat the oil and fry the paste for 3-4 minutes until light brown.
4. Add the tomato puree, vegetables and salt.
5. Boil for some time and serve hot with rotis.
