Kabuli Chholey
Ingredients:
- 250 gm Kabuli chana
- 3 Onions
- 3 Tomatoes
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp Ghee
- Coriander leaves
- Some Onion rings
- 1 tsp Chilli powder
- 1 tbsp Garam Masala
- 2 tbsp Cumin powder
- 1 tbsp Mango powder
- Some thin tomato slices
Method:
- Soak kabuli chana in water overnight.
- Boil kabuli chana until tender.
- Grate the onions and puree the tomatoes.
- Heat the oil in a pan and sauté the grated onion.
- Add the tomato puree, cumin powder and chilli powder, and fry with the onions.
- Add the boiled chholey and salt, and bring to boil. Crush some of the chholey slightly.
- Mix in the amchur powder and garam masala.
- Garnish with coriander leaves, onion rings and tomato slices.
Tip: Add a pinch of common salt and sugar to the cooking vegetable so as to avoid discoloration of spinach and green leafy vegetables.
