Navratra Recipe -Masala Mashed Potatoes

Masala Mashed Potatoes


Ingredients:

  • 1 tsp Rock Salt
  • 3 medium Potatoes
  • 1 tsp Mango powder
  • 1 Green Chilli, chopped
  • 1 fresh Red Chilli, chopped
  • 50 gms Low-Fat Margarine
  • 1 tsp crushed Black Peppercorns
  • 1 tbsp chopped Mint and Coriander leaves

Method:
  1. Boil the potatoes until soft enough to be mashed. Mash these down using a masher.
  2. Blend together the remaining ingredients in a small bowl.
  3. Stir the mixture into the mashed potatoes and mix together thoroughly with a fork.
  4. Serve warm as an accompaniment.


Tip: A very stale loaf of bread can be considerably freshened by dipping it in milk or water (or a mixture of the two) for about a minute. After this, put it into the oven to crisp for about fifteen minutes.
